Obsessed le nouveau She 1 · Him 2 sur LRdR

“I wrote the lyrics to this song based off the movie Obsession, which I loved and thought was a unique and fun idea for a horror movie,” says vocalist Cassie Bishop. “I wanted to capture some of the elements and mood of the film in this piece.” Musically, the track heads in a different direction, setting those darker lyrics against an upbeat synthpop arrangement rooted in the duo’s love of 80s electronic music. “This song has been amazing to put together,” says Evan Nave. “An 80s vibe with a very modern spin. And our producer, Michael Seifert, dropped some very Fixx-like guitars on it. Love the dark lyrical tone versus the upbeat music dichotomy.” Seifert, a longtime collaborator with She 1 • Him 2, produced the track and also added guitar to the recording. His credits include work with Tori Amos, Paul Simon, Regina Spektor, Fountains of Wayne and Snarky Puppy, among others. Alongside the single, She 1 • Him 2 are also releasing a new music video for “Obsessed,”directed by Steven Sladek from a concept by Cassie
