Radio LRdR un bol d'air
Club Paradise’s third single from their upcoming EP, Life on TV, comes in the form of indie ballad ‘What If These Days’ - the story of a gut wrenching night of turmoil and anxiety. Last years festival season saw the North Shields indie-rock quartet share the stage with bands such as The Mystery Jets and The Futureheads, having previously joined The Magic Gang, Katy J Pearson, SPINN, VANT, LARKINS and many more on national tour dates. With the EP date and launch party slated for October 2024, the band are firmly locked in for a packed out second half of the year. With the bands latest release, Years, gaining Radio X Airplay on John Kennedy‘s X-Posure, the band have also garnered support from BBC Introducing and Radio 1’s Jack Saunders. Club Paradise have also received critical acclaim from CLASH Magazine, Shortlist and Record of the Day. Of the single and upcoming EP, frontman Ryan Young said: “This track is the oldest on the EP. I think we wrote it pre-covid and then it was put on pause while all that happened, but then we wrote more music which was released first and this song just never went away. We probably love it more now by giving it that time to marinade and write itself naturally, than rushing to get it out. “I always picture dashboard lights on a car, city buildings, and trainers hanging from telephone poles when I listen back to this track. It’s about a flurry of emotions and pictures that your brain captures when you’re right on that edge of control and collapse within a situation, and the fine line we tow while wrestling not to lose that control. Citing influences from Bryan Adams, The Killers and joan, What If These Days is the indie ballad revival we all need in 2024. Available everywhere - 30th August.
