Movin’ On are an emerging North West indie band combining honest songwriting with an increasingly powerful full-band sound. What began as a collection of songs written by singer and guitarist Elijah Jenkins has grown into a tight-knit four-piece, with Jenkins joined by guitarist Alfie Powell, bassist George Bengree and drummer Scott Disley. Together, they’ve transformed those early acoustic ideas into something fuller, louder and more collaborative, shaping a sound that balances melody, grit and emotional weight. The band’s name was born from a simple WhatsApp chat, but it stuck for a reason. “Movin’ On” reflects the feeling that runs through their music — escapism, nostalgia and forward motion — capturing both what they’re holding onto and what they’re leaving behind. Their debut full-band single, “Absolutely,” produced by Ady Hall and Lee McCarthy at Sugarhouse Studios in St Helens, marks a clear step into this new chapter. The track captures the band’s expanded sound: driving guitars, dynamic rhythms and an anthemic energy that builds on their introspective roots while pushing confidently into bigger indie territory. Live, Movin’ On have quickly built a reputation for energetic, emotionally charged performances that blend storytelling with raw indie punch. They’ve appeared at Scruff of the Neck and This Feeling shows across the North West and continue to grow a dedicated local following. The band will headline Liverpool’s Jacaranda on March 28th, a milestone show that signals their momentum heading into 2026, with more releases and UK dates already in the works. With new music on the horizon and their sound evolving fast, Movin’ On are stepping forward with purpose — and they’re only just getting started
