Harry Pentony Bio: Harry Pentony is a pop-rock/indie singer-songwriter from Leicester, UK, blending emotional honesty with widescreen, anthemic energy. Influenced by Coldplay, Keane, U2, Sam Fender, Holly Humberstone, Biffy Clyro and the 1975, his music speaks for the underdog, for people who feel deeply but struggle to say it out loud. Harry began performing at 11, busking across the Midlands and gigging in bands. In 2016, he co-founded The Reckless Youth, headlining the O2 Academy Leicester, playing Handmade Festival and sharing stages with Less Than Jake. Two years later he formed alt-rock band Our City Fires, whose uplifting choruses gained attention from Kerrang! Radio and secured support slots with INME. After years writing and playing guitar in bands, Harry only recently stepped forward as a vocalist. Through dedicated vocal training he found the confidence to own his voice, a journey that now defines the emotional core of his song writing. His solo debut Sense of Clarity (2020) was picked up within 24 hours by BBC Introducing East Midlands. After relocating to Coventry, he earned a reputation for dynamic loop-driven live performances, appearing on the BBC Introducing stage at MotoFest, performing at Godiva Festival and Riverside Festival, and supporting Tom Walker at HMV Empire. Returning to Leicester in 2024 marked a turning point. Navigation became BBC Introducing East Midlands’ “Track of the Week”, followed less than a year later by Remember Me, his second “Track of the Week” in under 12 months. He also appeared on Discover Live with BBC Radio 1’s Jodie Bryant, was nominated for Best Indie Artist at the 2025 Radio Wigwam Awards, named Future Hits Radio’s Artist of the Month in September 2025, and featured as Hot Vox’s Artist of the Day in February 2026. Further releases, including You Got Me Thinking, have received international airplay and were played at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium. In 2026, Harry headlined a near sold-out hometown show with his newly formed band, a milestone moment that showcased his evolution and the loyal fanbase growing around his music. With new music on the way and momentum continuing to build, Harry Pentony is carving his own path, proof that even against the odds, speaking from the heart still resonates.
