ABOUT THE EP SoftWave is releasing a new digital “bubbly” EP, 'Aspire'. The new ideas really began to bubble to the surface after SoftWave was recognized by the idol, Erasure's Andy Bell, where SoftWave had the honour of making 2 remixes for the sold-out LP ('Club Torsten') which ended up on the UK OFFICIAL CHARTS. Before that, SoftWave was personally selected as support by the million-selling OMD for their Scandinavian leg of the Souvenir tour. From SoftWave's several years of hard work, there was no doubt about the title for their new aspiring EP 'Aspire', which contains their best productions so far. The EP is something very special. All 5 songs have their own vulnerable and meaningful struggle story that seeks to inspire and motivate others to reach new heights. There is something for everyone. The happy breakup song 'Thank You For Breaking My Heart', the song for the idol 'Supernova', the anti-bullying song for the bully 'Don't Bully Me Again', the song for the people struggling getting out of bed early 'Wake Up' and the more serious song about 'This World'. SoftWave's music is known for being uplifting electronic pop music, inspired by the classic English synthpop with prominent synthesizer sounds. The singer Catrine Christensen has written all the lyrics herself, as it is of great importance to her to connect with the lyrics all the way from the production to performing the song live. The music is composed and produced by SoftWave’s 2nd member, Jerry Olsen who has endeavoured to keep a positive vibe throughout the production process with his unique synth sounds. SOFTWAVE BIOGRAPHY SoftWave is a Danish synthpop duo, which was established in 2014 by singer Catrine Christensen and producer Jerry Olsen without any musical background. Their big visions, uplifting sound and catchy chorus have taken them far. They have been recognized by great synth pioneers such as OMD, Andy Bell (Erasure), Chris Payne (Visage), Ian Burden (Human League) and more
