The new German darkwave/synthpop formation “Core in Motion” releases their debut EP “You Took Everything”! “Core in Motion” was founded in early 2025 by the musicians and producers Sven (Out of Sphere) and Thorsten (Cradle of Haze, Inception of Eternity, Schandpfahl, Sonic Sound Factory & more). Sven and Thorsten got to know each other a few years ago through various production and remix collaborations, but then lost touch again. At the end of 2024, Thorsten released a remix of the “Schandpfahl” song “Lauf” with his EDM project “Sonic Sound Factory” - at the time featuring “Out of Sphere” - and they got talking again and decided to work together on new songs and a new project. The fact that the first EP can be heard so soon after the band was founded is due to the fact that Sven never stopped composing songs, even after the end of his band “Out of Sphere”. This, to put it mildly, grandiose repertoire is now the first to be used and at the same time new songs are being worked on diligently. Due to the large number of pre-composed songs and the variety of genres to be covered, there will probably be a second project - so it remains exciting once again in this respect. The search for a suitable singer was difficult at first, but then a double pack was found from Thorsten's existing “squad”. Kenneth and Ryo, known through their own projects and memberships (Absolon, Firesphere, Blutlaich, Ryo Utasato, Eli van Pike & Inception of Eternity), were immediately ready to take over the vocal part in “Core in Motion” after receiving the first demo. Here we have the best example of a production process that couldn't be more effective. Sven delivers the song in rough format with lyrics and vocal melody, Thorsten produces the song and adds his personal touch. Then the vocals come from the USA and at the end the song is finalized (mixed/mastered) by Thorsten. A chain that worked smoothly and harmoniously from the very first minute, as if nothing else had been done for the last 20 years - so you can look forward to what's to come. In addition to the title track, the EP “You Took Everything” comes with 5 further versions and surprisingly serves other genres and sub-genres. This clearly shows the diversity in the compositions and in this project and the potential behind it. So we can definitely look forward to the following releases!
