BIO|Debut EP “TIME-LAPSE” Press Release ANT-1 is a French artist living in Cork, Ireland for the past 18 years and former organ player with Cork band “Slow Motion Heroes”. ANT-1 began his music journey as a guitar player and singer with the French local grunge punk band “Kama-Sutra” in the area of Angers (Loire Valley, France). After moving to Ireland, ANT-1 worked in the music industry as a sound engineer, and in that time developed his skills as an organ player. He incorporated this newfound instrument into his performances with Slow Motion Heroes, adding a unique and creative flavour to the band's sound. ANT-1 has since become a respected and beloved figure in the Cork music scene, and his work as an artist, musician, and producer continues to be influential. Multi-instrumentalist ANT-1 started his solo project in 2021 during the late stages of the pandemic. He composed, performed, and produced his music at Uam Var (Home) Studio. ANT-1 creates captivating melodies that transform into powerful choruses full of intensity, hope, and energy with epic endings. His music is recorded with drums, bass, electric guitars, iconic 80’s synthesizers, and of course the central element of ANT-1’s music, a 1960’s Hammond C3. ANT-1's music captures the essence of Indie, Alternative Rock, 80’s Synth pop, and is noted for its catchy hooks and inspiring lyrics. ANT-1’s music has been widely praised for its unique sound and production. After a successful attempt at playing, recording, mixing, and producing his first two singles released under the Independent Cork Label FIFA Records, ANT-1 decided to release his debut EP “Time-Lapse”. This 3 track EP includes the brand-new tune “Sky Blue in a Bad July”, an improved remix of “Liberty” and “It Is life”, that caught the attention of YouTube users last year thanks to its video clip. Time-Lapse is an anthology of ANT-1’s finest music work and inspired by life, love, nostalgia, and freedom. ANT1's music, vocals, and lyrics, enhanced with complex harmonies, emphasize sensibility, hope, and positivity through a bittersweet twist. This debut EP reflects a unique blend of melancholy and optimism; a reminder that in spite of the challenges that life brings, there is always hope for a brighter future. With its fine open-minded tunes, Time-Lapse is the perfect invitation to explore the realm of musical possibilities, taking the listener on a captivating voyage of sound.
