Andy And The Rockets en découverte sur LRdR avec Ghost In This Town

Andy and the Rockets is a Swedish Rock ’n’ Roll band whose sound combine modern rock with classic Rock’n’Roll . Inspired by legendary artists such as Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, the band is also influenced by bands like M ö tley Cr ü e and Foo Fighters . This mashup ends up in new, modern and exciting Scandinavian rock signed Andy and the Rockets! The band was founded in 2012 after Andreas Forslund met Swedish producer Fronda. Music was in the making when Forslund came in contact with Filip Westg ä rds, a nd the band was born. A few months later the former Metal drummer Max Marcusson joined the band together with Robin Lagerqvist on lead guitar, with multiple US Tours in the bag. The first Single Shy Girl (2013) was played daily major Swedish radio stations and the success was a fact. The band started touring all over Sweden and later the same year the EP Magnify the Small was released. A few years later, more particularly 2017, Andy and the Rockets released their first album ”Big City Lights” and the singl e ”Come a little Closer” was well received by both radio, charts and fans - and this time world wide. The songs was written by Martin Engstrom and Chris Bergstrom and the album was produced by Engstrom together with the band. The release of ”Big City Light s” gave the band the opportunity to once again tour all over Sweden. In the beginning of 2020, Andy and the Rockets entered the legendary Park Studio in Stockholm, Sweden to start working on the next album, but due to the corona pandemic the recording of the album was postponed . M eanwhile, the band shifted focus and continued to write new material , to once again enter the studio at the end of 2021. Several new songs were recorded and the album GHOST TOWN was born - and at this time, the majority of the so ngs on the album was written by the members of the band, and for the first time they have chosen to produce the whole album by themselves. Backed by a fantastic team, a completely new sound was created ! Thanks to the release of GHOST TOWN, Andy and the R ockets has a solid tour booked for the summer, and they can not wait to finally once again, give the audience one of the best nights in their lives!
