Following on from their first drop (Therapy, released in March 2024) Frenemy is the 2nd track from Hyperfield - an electropop/d&b tinged single that features Edinburgh based vocalist Samira Prentice. “Are you a friend or an enemy? asks Samira in the opening verse, then takes us on a bumpy journey through to its emotional conclusion. Frenemies - we all know people like this. We might even be one ourselves? The song was mixed by Steve Whitfield (The Cure, The Mission, Jah Wobble) and mastered by Pete Maher (Goldfrapp, Lana Del Ray, Depeche Mode, Katy Perry). about hyperfield Hyperfield is the pseudonym of UK songwriter/musician/producer Stanley MX. Currently working on his first album, the tracks feature 10 artists: singers, a poet, a stoic blogger and an anime called MiniX; all around the theme of human behaviour mixed to an electronic musical landscape.
