Boasting over a whopping 180 million streams across platforms and praise from DJ luminaries such as Don Diablo, Lost Frequencies and Steve Aoki. He has previously released via major labels Armada and Universal Music Austria, performed at venues and festivals like Spring Festival in Austria, and had his music featured on several Spotify editorial playlists. Tobias has garnered support from numerous publications, including DJ Mag, 1001 Tracklists, Mixmag Germany and Netherlands, YourEDM, Magnetic Magazine, House Music With Love, Electronic Groove and many others, as well as landing spins on radio stations such as CBC Music's Afterdark, KCRW's Metropolis, and RTÉ 2FM. Tobias is clearly on a meteoric rise as he steadily carves a name for himself in the industry, and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Bergson’s passion for music began at 17, not through traditional instruments but by immersing himself in programming and music production on his computer. The Austrian producer creates emotive, melancholic tracks that skillfully blend dancefloor euphoria with intimate emotiveness. At the heart of Bergson’s work is a desire to convey his emotions and experiences, resulting in intricate, haunting melodies that offer a melancholic yet familiar atmosphere. Inspired by Deadmau5, Ben Böhmer, Rampa and Chris Malinchak, his mesmerising tracks are reminiscent of a vast array of influences, with elements of deep house, techno, progressive, lounge, and house. The EP lead track, ‘Promise’ opens on a pensive note, with an undulating synth pulse layered beneath an almost imperceptibly soft wash of vocals. The track then suddenly gives way to an Afro-House-inspired rhythm section, as layers of synthesised instrumentation take turns entering the mix, driving the track forward. With its held-back, yet highly sophisticated production, ‘Promise’ is sure to strike a chord with fans of YOTTO, Disclosure, and Keinemusik. Tobias shared, “The EP came together over the course of last year and into this year. I’d been experimenting with melodic techno since last year, exploring how I could bring that sound into my own style, and that experimentation naturally evolved into the EP. I also wanted to create something that would translate well into my live sets, at least in parts. That’s why there are a few bass-heavy tracks alongside the more melodic moments.
