Skyracer en découverte sur LRdR We've Been Alive

After a run of acclaimed singles, growing streaming support and a UK tour alongside synth-rock favourites LeBrock, Sheffield duo SKYRACER are set to release their debut full-length album, 'Skyracer V1.0'. Made up of lifelong friends Dan Fox and Chris Brayshaw, SKYRACER have spent the past few years building a world of cinematic pop-rock inspired by 90s nostalgia, late-night conversations and the challenge of growing older without letting go of what led you there. Their music blends pop punk guitars, shimmering synths and heartfelt storytelling, drawing comparisons to The Ataris, The Midnight, Boys Like Girls and Busted. Skyracer V1.0' brings together eight previously released singles alongside three brandnew tracks, creating a complete journey through the themes that have defined the band's music so far: love, ambition, nostalgia, identity, friendship and loss. From the neon-lit romance of Under The Lights to the reflective longing of Been Alive, the explosive tension of Los Alamos and the end-of-the-world optimism of Last Token, the album serves as the culmination of everything SKYRACER have built to date. Speaking about the album, the band said: "We never set out with a grand plan. We just got together every week, cooked food, hung out and made the kind of music we wished existed when we were growing up. Looking back, these songs tell the story of who we were, who we are now, and the things we've held onto and lost along the way." At its heart, 'Skyracer V1.0' is an album about finding meaning in the moments that stay with us: first loves, old friends, long drives home, lost dreams, new beginnings and the people who make the journey worthwhile. It's a record for anyone who still feels a little bit like the kid they used to be.
