Noisemakers en découverte sur LRdR The Story

The Story is the debut single from East Midlands group Noisemakers’ Guild, based in Nottingham. The band consists of Jez Sullivan (ex Heroes of Switzerland) on guitar, Kikey Kumar on drums, Lee Heir (ex Prime) on vocals and Kevin Munson on bass. The song was recorded and mixed at Dubrek Studios, Derby, and co-produced by Jay Dean alongside the band. It was mastered at Abbey Road Studios, London by Sean Magee (The Beatles/Rolling Stones/Public Image Ltd/Rush masters). The post-punk influenced track mixes heavy indie guitars with flamenco style acoustic flavours, a passionate rock vocal and a sinister plotline in a crunching and rhythmic 4 minutes. “The undeniably charismatic, high-energy performance that post-punk demands. Angular guitars and driving rhythms, stage presence and sharp wit, soaring vocals (created a) brilliant connection. Songs like Eyes Wide Open delivered soaring musical energy, while upcoming single The Story added depth and narrative. A rock solid groove cinematic in scope earned huge cheers from a thoroughly engaged crowd. Catch this exciting band at their headline show at Rough Trade Nottingham on 13th November.” - Sheff Herd, Sheffield “Singer Lee Heir is one of the best frontmen you are likely to see” - Mark Del, Notts TV / NUSIC, Nottingham “Irresistably danceable… echoes of early-80s post-punk with a modern twist… soulful grooves and indie edge… fun, energy and infectious rhythm” - TRNDING, Derby “Gritty rock vocals” - Dean Jackson, BBC Introducing, on Lee Heir “Noisemaker's Guild set us up with an awesome guitar intro by Jez Sullivan. Lee Heir appeared in his frock coat and banged out the vocals. What followed was simply amazing. Haunting guitar riffs, solid bass-playing and drumming more than complemented the overall showmanship” - Left Lion, Nottingham
