Labyrinth of Passion le nouveau Nicolas Rixon sur LRdR

Labyrinth of Passion traces the uncertainty of whether love is returned. Its reference to Donizetti’s The Elixir of Love, where wine is mistaken for a love potion, evokes a world shaped by hope, projection, and misunderstanding. The title recasts desire as a maze, where longing becomes its own thread through confusion, searching for whether feeling is mutual, imagined, or somewhere in between. This release leans more directly into a retro futurist 80s sound, with a stronger focus on synth based arrangement. The drums draw fully on classic 1980s machine sonics and treatments, while the production takes a more hybrid approach overall. The bass blends Yamaha DX7 character with a modern Omnisphere low end layer, while Jupiter 8 and Juno 6 textures are reinforced with subtle layers from D16 LUSH and Serum 2 for extra depth and width.
