Projekt Ich – A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN AUTUMN Label: Echozone | Genre: Alternative Synthpop | Format: CD / Album | Release: 2025-10-24 With "A Beautiful Day In Autumn," Ulf Müller, aka PROJEKT ICH, releases his third studio album following "By Train Through Countries" (2019) and "Freedom For All" (2022). As always, the album comprises 15 tracks and consistently continues the project's signature alternative synthpop sound, which draws on the multifaceted soundscapes of the 1980s and gives them a modern form. A particular hallmark of the album is its international focus: Singers from France, Belgium, Austria, Sweden, Guatemala, England, and Germany provide the tracks with an extraordinary diversity – the songs are performed in six different languages. Some tracks, such as "Dad," "Mom," and "Sister," are particularly personal and are sung by Ulf Müller himself. These and many other songs from the album have already been released in advance as lavishly produced extended single editions – featuring B-sides, remixes by international artists, instrumental versions, and animated videos. The single "Sister" will also be released as an audio CD-R on January 21, 2026. Musically, "A Beautiful Day In Autumn" combines emotional depth, electronic energy, and catchy melodies. A particular highlight is South Tyrolean saxophonist Manuel Trabucco, whose intense and soulful playing lends additional warmth and expressiveness to several of the album's songs. With "A Beautiful Day In Autumn," PROJEKT ICH creates a multifaceted album that oscillates between closeness and distance, melancholy and hope - carried by international voices and a clear commitment to emotional synthpop.
