Flux is an electronic duo that consists of Jamie Jamal (Lead singer, lyricist) and Richard Mordecai (Keys, Producer) they formed ‘Flux' during lockdown after Jamie’s previous band disbanded at the start of lockdown, and so Jamie (based in Bristol) and Richard (based in Wales) who had both previously written for Jamie’s electronic duo “This Human Condition” which Jamie was also the lead singer of, decided to form “Flux” in May 2020, Jamie describes their sound as “Electronic Handbag Punk” and released their first single "Handbag Punk” in September 2020, Which is a Hi- NRG track inspired by disco queen “Sylvester” and cult hero “Divine” which was really well received on the electronic music scene. Flux soon followed up with the dark and edgy torch song “Divulge” (2021) and received comparisons to Marc Almond, George Michael. In 2022 they worked with Hottwerk to promote “Divulge” and the track which has had over 11k streams on Spotify. Flux released their third single “Just Because You Can (Doesn’t Mean You Should)” to rave reviews (notably from The Electro Wave Show and Synth City) and fuses orchestral sounds with synthesisers, plus a male welsh choir weaved into the track, all electronically made. Flux has been doing a handful of gigs in Bristol, Cardiff, Newport and is working on their debut album
