ANTHMZ is an Atlanta-based indie punk project fronted by Kyle Gordon (MammaBear) and Houston B Perry (Blood Plums / Heavy Mojo), with Matt Foster on guitar and Mark Garretson on drums. Built on long-standing musical collaboration and deep creative trust, the band thrives on instinctive chemistry, translating into tight, high-impact performances that feel both explosive and controlled. Their new single, “Afterglow,” out June 19th on all streaming platforms, was recorded live to tape by engineer Kristofer Sampson at Bee Sting Manor in Atlanta. The track explores the emotional paradox of attachment—loving something or someone so intensely that vulnerability feels unbearable, while absence feels even heavier. It lives in that push-and-pull space between connection and distance, where desire and resistance collide. Driven by raw indie punk energy and emotional friction, Afterglow captures ANTHMZ at their most direct and unguarded, turning inner conflict into something loud, kinetic, and alive.
